Why is Lamin-x better?

What is the difference between Lamin-x film and the competition? Lamin-x is a thick film that can be applied to tough curves without creasing and when heated can be stretched. It also provide a thickness of 17-20 mil which helps absorb impact from debris and has a self healing compound that allows itself to fuse itself back if it gets slices or nicked. You have a very nice window of time that allows you to apply, pull up and reapply the film without damaging it so you can get the perfect installation.

Most competitors use a vinyl instead that usually consist of 3 mil which will not allow it to absorb the impact and will not help stop the damage to your lights. With vinyl you do not have the option to apply the film and pull it up within minutes to realign or fix any problem issues. So you basically got one shot to do it right the first time. Since vinyl does not have the thickness or ability to stretch around tough curves it will cause creasing or tunneling.

There are also plastic covers that offer no protection and will fade or crack over time. Most covers are only available in dark or blackout colors and does not give you the option to apply on fog lights. Painting your lights is usually a non reversible option. With Lamin-x film you can remove the film when desired and it will not damage or harm the lens of your lights. For a full selection of precut or uncut film check out
